I received this item today and had a very bad experience with the seller's customer service. The gun that BuyCostumes is selling is a "Han Solo Blaster" but it is not the one pictured. It has a scope on the top, and different colors in different places. When I called customer service, they told me about the differences in the picture (which I already knew by now since I was holding the blaster in my hand) and said that the differences could be found in the description of the item, which is totally false. When I asked if I could receive the one in picture, I was told that the one I received is the only one they have. Then I WAS HUNG UP ON. I could not believe it. False advertisement and TERRIBLE customer service. If you want your blaster to be the one pictured, do NOT buy from BuyCostumes. Actually, even if you don't care if your blaster is a little different, I would still recommend NOT buying from BuyCostumes. They are obviously not a company concerned with pleasing their customers and don't mind misleading buyers by putting up false pictures and product descriptions.

I bought this toy for a Han Solo costume. I bought it under the pretense that it looks EXACTLY LIKE THE PICTURE. Well, I was wrong. Star Wars nuts like me know that Han's blaster changes slightly throughout the movies, and the blaster pictured is NOT the one I got. The one that is pictured is an accurate model of Han's blaster, which you can only buy online; the one I received was just the regular one that you can buy in stores. Had I known that, I would have just gone to the STORE and not paid shipping. Upon further research, I realized that this particular seller has a bit of a history sending people products that are different from what is pictured. FYI, Rubies, some people buy a gun because you have it pictured as being a particular color, or a particular model. If you cannot deliver what you picture on the site, DON'T SELL IT. Not a total letdown, but I'm giving it a low rating for deceiving me.

I wanted this as a prop that I could modify for a costume. I had read a bunch of reviews for this product that say that the gun pictured is NOT the gun that they received. The official picture for this product is a blue and orange painted blaster that is the style like the one that Han Solo carried in The Empire Strikes Back. The one that you will get is like the one that he carried in A New Hope - with the long scope on top and slightly to the side. I banked on getting the opposite from what was pictured, so I'm pretty happy. It is durable, plastic, and is painted blue and orange. It does make blaster sounds when the trigger is pressed and it takes 2 AAA batteries that sit in the handle.

The blaster showed in this picture is not the one I was sent. I received Han Solo's Return of the Jedi blaster with the scope (White and orange). I wasn't too happy about that because I had already bought the same one on Ebay. I was expecting the one pictured, which is an earlier version of Han Solo's blaster seen in A New Hope. It was also Luke Skywalker's blaster in The Empire Strikes Back. I had planned on spray painting it black with a silver nozzle like Luke's, but I guess that's not going to happen. Buy at your own risk.

This blaster is a bit large and the sound is very tinny, but once I coated it with some black paint it looked loads better. It will work fine for what it was intended(Cosplay). Also, I notice in the photo the gun is blue and orange, but the one I received was white and orange.
